Jessica Marie Hamby woke in her hidey hole as Sookie had called it with her usual sense of it being night-time not really caring about the actuall time at the moment. Jessica opened the hatch that led down into her hidey hole at the Compton Home which had been added in for her benefit so that she could live there with Bill, who was her maker. Getting out of the hole Jessica was in her usual idea of pajamas these days a bra and a pair of matching panties..
Looking around the house, Bill and Sookie were nowhere to be found as usual she was alone and a little disappointed by that. Deciding she didn't really want Bill to wake up, if he was just asleep in his hidey hole, and find her in her underwear she pulled on her robe that she stole from the hotel in Texas. Grabbing the outfit she was going to wear the young red-headed vampire headed up the stairs to the single bathroom in the Compton House, which she often complained about she felt there should be a second bathroom. She saw no point in her and Bill needing to share a bathroom all of the time it wasn't really something she liked doing. Turning the shower to the hottest point it got Jessica removed her underwear and stepped into it. Washing off under the hot water Jessica felt good, granted the hot water didn't do much for her but she liked the way the warmth felt against her cool skin even if it wouldn't warm it up. Once she was done she grabbed on of the oversized towels in the bathroom. She wrapped it around herself in the event that Bill randomly decided to show up or whatever. Going to one of the various bedrooms in the house. Jessica set about dressing for the day in fresh undergarments, and then a pair of jeans, and a random shirt that Bill had so graciously bought her after he had scared away Hoyt the first time.
She was off from Merlottes that night so she wasn't going to make herself a bother over there. Jessica soon worked on getting herself ready for the rest of the evening getting her hair dried out and putting on the eyeliner that helped her look less like a vampire Jessica was ready for the evening. Jessica starting to feel a little hungry, or well anyway getting the burn in the back of her throat from the need for blood. She decided it was time to go out and feed on someone, she never fed off of people she knew well with the exception of Hoyt who let her and she was always careful to stop. She didn't take too much from him ever she didn't want to hurt him or kill him. Jessica smiled at the thought of Hoyt she loved him allot and thinking about him always made her smile. He had asked her not to feed off of his friends which she made sure to be careful of she didn't want to upset him. And she definitely didn't want to hurt him in any way, physically, emotionally, or mentally.
Jessica sped out the door with her vampire speed and ended up just outside of where the people from out-of-town got into town. She found a random stranger she glamoured him and started to feed on him. She made sure to think of everything that disgusted her when she needed to stop so she wouldn't kill him. Jessica thought about her dad's belt and drowning little puppies and things like that stopping leaving the man before her weak, a little anemic, a little light-headed but still alive and conscious enough to get himself help. Jessica kept him under her glamour telling him that he never saw her, that it was a male vampire who did this but he didn't get a description because he didn't see the vampire.
Going back to the Compton House after her little feeding frenzy Jessica sat down on the porch, she was kind of waiting for him to get there at the moment. She was once again feeling abandoned by her maker not that was any surprise to her. Ever since she had been turned Bill seemed to be an invisible force in her life really and often left her alone for days or weeks as this last time had turned out. Jessica didn't like being abandoned no one did really but for the red-headed vampire it was worse. She was only a baby vampire and she didn't know what she was doing she had made herself a blog looking for other baby vampires to see if they could figure it out together but a lot of them didn't seem to have the same problem Jessica had their makers didn't just disappear.
Jessica thought that she could maybe go to Sookie's house she didn't want to be alone or she could go back to Hoyts place but Hoyt was clueless about the vampire thing and Jessica had questions. The young red-head always had questions for people, and she had tried reading vampire books and watching Buffy and Angel looking for answers but a lot of it ended up just being crap. She shouldn't have been surprised at that.
Getting up and going inside once more she turned on what she called her computer, but was actually Bill's computer and started up her video blog. She was trying to get people to understand the whole vampire thing. Other baby vampires like herself who needed help and had no one there. She wasn't the only one who felt like she was abandoned by her maker. She wasn't the only one who was made as a punishment to people. After her blog update was over she sat at the computer checking questions and comments. Hearing a noise the red headed girl looked up hoping it was someone interesting.

Eric didn’t know when he would next have the opportunity to be in this neck of the woods, so to speak. He had plans tonight and those plans may or may not have meant that he wouldn’t be bothering anyone for a very long time, if ever. After he had taken his leave of Sookie he had wandered her property, taking in the abstract scents of her and the way her personal touches seemed everywhere. It didn’t make much sense to think that her own light shone off the glossy faces of the leaves in the trees, or her sweet breath intermingled with the perfume of the wild violets that grew on the edge of the clearing her house occupied, but to Eric these things were one and the same. He would miss them about her. He would miss her even more.
After he had exhausted the wandering capacity of the Stackhouse residence and extensive grounds, Eric began to walk. He thought about a great many things, and they occupied his mind so fully that he didn’t realise he had strolled into the Bon Temps cemetery. It was a pretty enough resting place, he supposed, as far as resting places went. He had never really given pause to contemplate where humans went after death. Having never experienced anything other than the existence he had now, Eric didn’t really feel qualified to speculate. It wasn’t until he reached a large, almost ostentatious headstone reading ‘William Compton, Loving Husband and Father’ that he stopped moving.
A slow, sardonic smile curled his lips up in an almost cruel way. The irony of seeing a dead man’s grave when the man wasn’t dead at all (in the strictest sense of the term) took Eric to being particularly funny. He wondered why Bill hadn’t had the headstone removed. It was something egotistical in the quieter vampire, Eric believed. It was a monument to him, placed on this hallowed ground by his once-living family. The tall Viking stood there in the milky moonlight for a long while, his hair almost white to the light that filtered through the willow trees and Spanish moss and his eyes an unreadable, stormy blue. The smile only faltered and faded from his lips when he smelled something he would have been able to detect miles away.
Sookie.
She had been here, to this grave. He told himself that he didn’t have a right to feel jealous or even annoyed. She had been dating Bill for a very long time, and she was the kind of sentimentalist that would have found such a novelty as a vampire headstone endearing. Eric imagined her laying flowers here, visiting during the day. In a moment of pure imagination that he would never know was closer to the truth than he would have liked, he had a flash in his mind of the pair of them here at night, naked, writhing in the soil with a fierce passion...
Before he could stop himself, Eric was continuing though the tombstones with that thought fueling his steps. Bill’s house loomed like the bones of a dinosaur, so unhomey and unwelcoming that it’s difference from Sookie’s place was startling. The paint was cracked and fading, like innocence dying in the arms of the night. He had a right to be here. He was the Sherriff of this area, and he had something to say to William Compton before he left tonight. In a speedy flash of movement Eric was inside, using his senses to hone in on the first vampire he became aware of as he entered.
When Jessica, Bill’s progeny, turned to look up at him from her place on the computer Eric stifled the urge he felt to roll his eyes. He wouldn’t be surprised if she was on Facebook, now. Instead he merely stood in the doorway to the room like some kind of gigantic blonde wall, crossing his arms over his chest and peering at the child with his piercing blue eyes. “Where is your Maker?” he asked her, cutting to the chase.

He had had a long night already. Bill was exhausted because of the physical state he was in, and because he wasn't healing as quickly as he should. The fight with Queen Sophie-Anne had nearly killed him, and it happened so soon after he was tortured to near death by Lorena. The two massive beatings were a lot for even a vampire's body to take, and that was showing on Bill. It had all taken it's toll on him, and the fact that he had ruined things with Sookie wasn't helping either. Right now, he just wanted to go home and relax. However, he knew that wasn't going to happen. He had a progeny to care for in Jessica, and he had been neglecting her. Despite his rather weakened state, and his exhaustion, he needed to tend to her first. He hadn't been a good maker to her, and that wasn't fair at all. It wasn't her fault that he had turned her. He couldn't punish her because he was disgusted with himself for doing that to her.
He needed to be there for her, and from now on he would be. He had made a promise to himself and secretly to her. He wouldn't make her suffer through this life alone any longer. It wasn't a life for anyone to go through alone. Especially when you were a new, young vampire trying to make it through. Bill couldn't help but think about how confused she must be. Bill had been molded and taught by Lorena who had ruined him. He had turned into the blood lusting creature that people feared when he was with her. Ever since then, he had vowed off of killing for pure pleasure. Lorena had done that. He had vowed off killing period. He didn't need that much blood. No vampire did. Killing humans for their blood was useless and downright cruel. Bill would no longer be a part of that. He would not be Lorena. However, he was a little fearful that Jessica might be heading down that path. It was his own fault and not hers, and he needed to fix it.
He would sit down and talk with her tonight, that much was certain. She deserved to know what to do. He knew how influential she was, even though she would never admit it. Jessica was a strong young woman, but Bill wouldn't put some things past her. He knew that she would kill because it was in her nature. It was always in a vampire's nature, but more so in a just turned vampire. She was young, and she could be easily influenced, as mentioned before. He needed to make certain that she didn't turn into the monster that he had once been, and was slowly becoming again. His thoughts trailed to Sookie for a moment, and he tried not to think about the young woman that he loved. He had ruined everything that they had had, and everything that they could have had. He was trying to fix it, but he doubted he would ever be successful, and he didn't blame Sookie. He wanted nothing more than to be with her again, but he knew she was feeling something for Eric. He had told her it would happen. He had known it would happen if things between them didn't work out.
Shaking his head slightly in his anger and jealousy, he stepped through the cemetery that was beside his home. It was then that he froze. He smelt him. Eric Northman. What was he doing here? A snarl lifted to Bill's lips as he thought about Jessica being along in the house. Slight fear crept through him. Eric wouldn't, would he? Even though Bill and Jessica's relationship wasn't the normal maker to progeny one, it was still something. He had made her. He would always feel her fear and he would always feel a part of her. She would be the same way. He struggled with his emotions for a moment, and suddenly used his unnatural speed to reach the porch. Eric Northman was in his home, his sanctuary, and Bill was not alright with it. He stepped in quietly, hearing Eric's deep voice from the main room. Bill walked silently through the rooms, but knew Eric would already know he was here. He stepped forward from the shadows and to where Eric could hear him right behind him. Bill kept his distance, not trusting Eric. He also wasn't strong enough to even put up a small fight. Bill wasn't going to push it.
"I'm right here. What can I help you with, Sheriff?"
Sarcasm and hatred dripped from his vocals, even though he tried to hide it. He knew. He knew what Eric and Sookie had been up to because he could feel Sookie in every fiber of his being. Bill had an uncanny sense when it came to Sookie, so he could feel her a lot more than he let on. He kept his feet now, clenching his fists. He was weak, and it showed, but he prayed Eric wouldn't use that to his advantage. Bill studied Eric for a moment, smelling Sookie all over him. Rage lapped at his heart, but he refused to answer that emotion. He would not lose his head. He would remain calm and collected, and see what Eric really wanted. He looked to Jessica now, worried for her safety. He wanted to go to his progeny, but he wouldn't cross Eric yet.
"Leave her out of this. She has done nothing to you, or anyone else for that matter."
He spoke up, indicating Jessica. He watched his progeny for a moment, trying to see if Eric had harmed her. His eyes searched to meet hers so he could know for sure, but he was certain he would have felt something. He had to, for he had made her. Staying silent now, he waited for anyone to speak up.

Jessica looked up from her blog before signing off of it because Eric was in the room and he'd tell Bill and then it would get shut down entirely. She and others like her needed this blog, it was important to them and for them to have someone to turn to. Jessica looked at Eric rather unimpressed with his entrance. She wasn't too keen on him to begin with when it came to certain matters. Like being a vampire he never helped her with that part of her life. She was even less impressed that he couldn't even be bothered to say hello to her which just made her all sorts of irked off at him.
“Hello t' you too Eric” said Jessica semi sarcastically
She was left alone so often that she didn't like it when people just ignored her like she was a piece of wall art or furniture she wanted to be treated like everyone else around her and she wasn't a fan of being ignored. She gave Eric a half glare she wasn't a threat to him she knew that he was a threat to her more than anything. If he really wanted her dead she'd be dead and there wasn't a whole hell of allot that she could do about it.
Pulling her bright red hair about her shoulder she looked at Eric with her own striking blue eyes at the blue eyed, blonde hair, Viking vampire in front of her. She was looking at Eric she knew if he were here it was business related usually. Which meant either she was in trouble or Bill was in trouble. Jessica secretly hoped it was Bill but she could be in trouble for all of the glamouring she was doing but she was helping Arlene out trying to bridge the gap between them a little bit and close whatever wedge it was that got her all in a tizzy about vampires anyway.
“I dunno where Bill is I ain't seen him all night not that that is all that surprisin' considerin' he abandons me here allot with no one t' keep me company” said Jessica
She didn't mind bill when he was around but so far he's just kind of left her alone to figure out life for herself and she didn't really want to go through that issue with him more that she had to. She had called Hoyt and asked if he'd come over but he hadn't called her back yet but she understood that he was busy sometimes and she was ok with him being busy as long as he'd call her later which she knew he would.
Thinking about Hoyt Fortenberry always made her smile she always liked the way he made her feel and she hoped she made him feel the same way but she wasn't sure. She was pretty sure that she did but was too afrad ot ask him and she didn't really want to ask Eric. She was just watching to see what the other vampire would do at the moment at the same time as drift of in her own thoughts.
“If you be wantin' t' talk t' Bill yer gonna have to find him yourself” said Jessica
She was tired of being alone and if she was going to be ignored, she wasn't going to help Eric find Bill or anyone for that matter. She was glad that she was wearing jeans. Looking at Bill as he came in she thought he looked like crap. She wasn't going to hold back on his account.
“What the hell happened t' you, you look like shit” said Jessica
She shut down her video blog all the way now so that neither of the older vampires could see it. Jessica just made a face at Bill. She wasn't fond of the fact that he chose now of all moments to be her maker. She was mad at him and she had been alone at this House for so long and just sighing slightly she tucked a loose strand of her hair behind her ear.
“Where the hell you been, because yer choosin' now t' be my maker, I ain't even seen you in I don't eve know how long because I quit caring” said Jessica
She was just being seventeen, implusive, mad and upset, she wasn't that different from any other teenager. She was just cocking an attitude at Bill because she could. She was stubborn and just as hard headed as he was and they had a tendency to bump heads ocassionally.

((Sorry for the delay. LOU!FAIL.)) The manner of Jessica’s sarcastic greeting and the immaturity of her words almost made Eric smile... almost. It had never before struck him so completely that someone needed to take the girl in hand, and it would have to be done soon. The broad blonde did feel Compton as he ghosted towards his ancestral home, paying him no heed for the moment as he wondered why Jessica – a newly turned vampire – had been allowed to run wild as long as she had. If Bill didn’t see fit to train his child soon, Eric would have to take over the responsibility. And this time, there was no Magister to punish him for his ineptitude. Jessica’s resentment towards her maker was amusing. If Bill ordered her to meet the sun, she would have to obey. Apparently this fact had slipped her mind.
When he was good and ready, Eric turned to face Bill with that same unreadable expression on his face. His eyebrows rose, as if he were surprised that Bill would suggest he was here to hurt his progeny. With a rolling of his blue eyes that spoke volumes, Eric ignored the demand by Bill to leave Jessica out of it (because he hadn’t actually come there to discuss her anyway) and instead attended to the first and slightly more polite question offered by the master of the house. Bringing his arms in front of his waist and clasping his hands together, Eric could not have looked more at ease.
“I have come to speak to you about Sookie,” he said simply. “I have business to attend to. I will require you to keep an eye on her while I’m away.” The way that he spoke made it clear that he was giving an order as Sheriff. His twinkling blue eyes said – without words – that he didn’t think Bill would have a problem with this, as he was used to keeping orders when it came to Sookie Stackhouse. He had, however, noticed that Bill was ailing. He had heard a rumour of Bill’s scrap with the Queen but hadn’t truly believed it until that moment. He doubted Sophie-Anne was this bad off.
“Of course, you will need to have some my blood,” he added in a tone that would brook no refusal. “You’re in no fit state, and you clearly do not have blood enough of your own to heal properly. Mine is older, and you will need very little to make you whole again.” Amused, Eric stepped forward, holding out his arm the way a mother might offer her child a sandwich. “Your health will be your reward for keeping Sookie safe.” As well as your penalty, should anything happen to her in my absence, Eric thought to himself.

Bill looked across at his progeny, feeling her anger and her basic hatred from where he stood. He hadn't been a maker for her. He hadn't been her teacher, and he certainly hadn't been her guide. His relationship with her was completely different from any other child to their maker. Pam was completely entranced with Eric, and Eric had idolized Godric. But Bill knew it stemmed from his relationship with his maker. He didn't want to punish Jessica for that, so he needed to change. He couldn't be like he had been, and he knew he needed to change. And he was going to. Starting today. But apparently, Jessica was too bitter to even accept that from him. He was trying. But he couldn't help but feel as if everyone and anyone was against him in this world at the moment. he didn't blame anyone because of the things he had done, but he wished he could have the chance to prove himself to them again.
Sighing softly at her first stinging words, he looked into her eyes for a moment. There was nothing in his but apology, and it was obvious that he felt bad. He knew he hadn't been there for her, and he was trying to change that. She needed to be able to accept that change as well. But he couldn't have this conversation with her now. Not with Eric here. It was a conversation he had wanted to make in private with her. He had been planning on speaking with her tonight, but Eric was preventing that for now. However, it just made Bill feel worse. He didn't want her to think that he was pushing her aside once more. He wasn't, and he certainly didn't want to. Biting the inside of his lower lip for a moment, he turned and looked at her as she told him he looked awful, in worse words than that. So sweet.
"We need to talk tonight Jessica."
His tone was serious and apologetic, and it was obvious he wasn't going to punish her for her hard words. That was the explanation that he gave her for now. She could take it or leave it, but either way, she would talk to him later. He would order her to, which would be something she would have to obey. He didn't want to force her. Bill wanted her to be willing to talk things out with him so that he could let her know he was changing. However, that was going to be easier said than done, and he just knew it. Taking a deep breath once more, he exhaled and looked back to the vampire that he been giving him hell for a long time. His eyes held nothing but suspicion, and when the first words came out of Eric's mouth, Bill didn't know what to think.
He wanted to snarl at the vampire's words. Did Eric think that Bill needed to be ordered to keep an eye on Sookie? Bill loved the young woman, that much was obvious. It pained him to know that Eric and Sookie had been together in the recent weeks. But Bill hadn't been there. He hadn't been there because he had been keeping his distance. He hadn't been snooping around Sookie's house, and he hadn't been anywhere near her except for when she asked him to go to Sam's place. He had gone, and still wasn't in the best shape. He wasn't going to keep making her upset and nervous with his presence. The truth was, Bill just wanted Sookie to be happy. And if that meant him not being around, he would accept it. It would kill him inside, but he would do it, for her.
"Do you honestly believe that you need to order me to do such a thing?"
He wanted to know what business Eric had to attend to, but he wouldn't question. He was past caring that much now. What Eric did was his own business, except when he was around Sookie. Bill could smell her all over the vampire before him, and it bothered him to no end. But Bill was adept at not showing his emotions, and he could hide his discomfort now. It was a skill that he was rather good at. And it was then that Eric was speaking about Bill drinking his blood. There was no way. He would heal. It would take some time, but he would heal. He could take care of Sookie. He backed up a step, revulsion taking over his once stoic expression. His reward for keeping Sookie safe? He needed to reward for that! He backed up one step more and shook his head, obviously disgusted. He would not drink Eric's blood.
"I need nothing from you."
For some reason, he didn't think Eric would accept that for an answer. The blonde vampire's face in front of him held an expression that left no room for argument. But Bill argued. He would always argue against that from now on. When he was where he was in the past months, he had had human blood. And even though it made him feel stronger and healthier, he had hated it. It made him feel like a murderer, and that was what he had been. He would not do this, even if Eric was a vampire. He shook his head once more, downright refusing.

Eric's amusement in this situation was quickly wearing thin. He supposed that Pam had been right all along, just as she usually was. In the past months he had become softer, more lenient. He had allowed the vampires under his jurisdiction to run rough shod as they pleased, and without the fear of the Magister to cowl them into submission there was little change of regaining the edge that he had once wielded with absolute authority. But that was of little matter. He was very used to fighting battles where the odds were distinctly against him.
“Beg to differ,” Eric replied, with a sarcastic smile. “Whether it is necessary or not, you will do it and consider it an order.” With his much bluer eyes trained on those of his subordinate, Eric wondered if the younger vampire would back down. It was becoming more and more typical of Bill to challenge him, and Eric was painfully aware of the fact that he was going to have to watch his back. He knew that the day was coming when Bill would make the final surge, if only for no other reason that not having to answer to anyone else any more. With a minuscule narrowing of his gaze, Eric felt anger rise in him when Bill refused to drink from him.
In the blink of an eye Eric was inches away from Bill, his face whitening as he felt a rush of blood through his heart. Adrenaline always had the same effect on him. His father, rest his soul, had called it 'battle pride'. These days they called it an 'adrenaline rush'. Eric didn't particularly care what label was used, though, because in that minute the one thing he really wanted to do was rip off Bill Compton's irritating, slack-jawed head and spit down his neck. Slowly and deliberately, Eric held out his arm. The veins stood out against his pale white skin; he had fed purposefully before embarking on this mission. He knew they would all need as much strength as they could muster.
“Don't make the rather monumental mistake of thinking that I am doing this out of any concern for you,” he almost hissed under his breath, his usually silky voice ragged with his apparent worry. “You're no good to Sookie if you're half dead from stupidity. If you mean what you say about wanting to protect her whether ordered to or not then drink, and stop being such a pussy.” Clenching his fist in preparation for the fangs that would soon break through his flesh, Eric watched Bill with as much mental clarity as he could muster. If Compton still refused to drink, more drastic measures would have to be taken.
“And don't think about going anywhere, Princess,” Eric added to Jessica, whipping his arctic gaze at her over Bill's shoulder. “You're next. It's always good to have a back-up for Bill,” he supplied scathingly.
